April 19, 2017: Atlas CopCo Tools Inc: Atlas Copco opens expanded Indian manufacturing plant

Atlas Copco has invested MINR 800 (MSEK 110) in the expansion of the factory in Hyderabad, India, doubling its capacity. The plant manufactures drilling consumables for surface mining applications. The expansion of the plant, which already employs some 200 people, will generate employment for about 35 additional people.

"The expanded factory will strengthen our delivery process, enhancing productivity for our customers globally," said Helena Hedblom, President of Atlas Copco's Mining and Rock Excavation Technique business area. "It will also ensure development of competitive products at a faster pace."

The new facility includes a world-class R&D test center for rock drilling products, enabling Atlas Copco to further increase customers' competitiveness.

April 04, 2017: Atlas Copco to acquire Brazilian compressor manufacturer

Stockholm, Sweden, April 4, 2017: Atlas Copco, a leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, has agreed to acquire Pressure Compressores Ltda., a Brazilian manufacturer of piston compressors and related equipment.

Pressure Compressores is based in Maringa in the state of Parana, Brazil. The company offers a broad range of piston compressors, screw compressors and air treatment products, serving mainly the Brazilian market but also some other South American countries. It has about 150 employees and had revenues in 2016 of about MBRL 50 (MSEK 145).

"Pressure Compressores is known in South America for its quality with a well-reputed technology for piston compressors," said Nico Delvaux, President of Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique business area. "With this acquisition we are strengthening our presence in this important region."

Pressure Compressores' products are used by a wide range of industrial and professional customers; from car repair shops to manufacturing companies.

The acquisition is expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2017. The purchase price is not material relative to Atlas Copco's market capitalization and is not disclosed. Pressure Compressores will become part of the Professional Air division in the Compressor Technique business area.

April 04, 2017: Atlas Copco compressors and light tower win Red Dot Design Awards

Stockholm, Sweden, April 4, 2017: Atlas Copco, a leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, has won two prestigious Red Dot Design Awards for 2017 for portable compressors and a LED light tower.

"We are proud to once again be recognized with this distinguished prize for outstanding design," said Andrew Walker, President of Atlas Copco's Construction Technique business area. "As always, our product design has focused on providing true customer benefits such as boosting performance and operator comfort while reducing fuel consumption and service needs."

The Red Dot Design Award for 2017 recognizes Atlas Copco's 8-series portable compressor range as well as the HiLight H5+ LED light tower. Both products are designed and manufactured by the Portable Energy division in the Construction Technique business area.

The 8-series compressors are recognized for raising the design standards when it comes to size, weight, efficiency and performance, partly by incorporating the latest tough and aesthetically pleasing HardHat(Registered) canopy. The light tower was recognized for its innovative optic lenses that maximize light coverage.

The official Red Dot Gala will take place in Essen, Germany, on July 3.

March 27, 2017: Atlas CopCo Tools Inc: Atlas Copco Capital Markets Day on November 14, 2017

The purpose of the Capital Markets Day is to give an update on the strategy and development of the Atlas Copco Group and its worldwide operations.

In addition, an update of the proposal to split the Group into an industrial part and a mining & civil engineering part, and subsequently distribute and publicly list the mining & civil engineering business, will be presented. The decision on the split will be taken at the Annual General Meeting 2018.

Participating from Atlas Copco will be Mats Rahmstrom, President and CEO from April 27, 2017, Hans Ola Meyer, Chief Financial Officer, Business Area Presidents and other members of Group Management.

The program starts in the morning and will be finished before 5 PM CET. Instructions on how to register and more detailed information will be distributed prior to the event.
