REGENERATION of Colwyn Bay has prompted two entrepreneurs to invest in the town's first five star bed and breakfast establishment.

Ellingham House has been opened by Ian Davies and Chris Jennings after they relocated to the seaside resort from Beddgelert where they had run a country house hotel for 11 years.

Their new venture in Woodland Road West is a luxury, boutique B & B in a four-bedroomed former Victorian villa.

Mr Jennings said: "We like North Wales and we thought there was a need in this area for a five star B&B."

Mr Davies added: "Colwyn Bay has had its problems in the past but we feel that with regeneration programmes now underway it is now on the up."
