ABSTRACT

French group Accor will open over 110 new hotels, 70% Ibis and Formule 1, across Latin America in the next few years. Ten new Ibis hotels will be opened in Chile. Five are being built at the moment. Three of them are direct investment projects carried out by Accor Hospitality and the other two have local partners as part of the business. Accor will also build six new Ibis and Novotel hotels in Argentina, all with local partners. It will build ten new hotels in Peru in Lima, Piura, Trujillo, Arequipa, Cusco and Chiclayo. In Brazil, due to the proximity of the World Cup 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016, Accor will expand capacity by 60%.
