Wal-Mart grants foundation $10,000

The Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque received a $10,000 grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation. The grant funding will help create a disaster tool kit for Dubuque and neighboring communities affected by natural disasters. The creation of a Disaster Recovery Tool kit is in response to the summer floods of 2008 and will assist those areas in preparing for future disasters. "We would like to thank the Wal-Mart Foundation for their generous contribution to our community," said Nancy Van Milligen, president/CEO of the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque. The grant to the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque was made possible through the Wal-Mart Foundation's Iowa State Giving Program.
