Wal-Mart grant to buy police laptops

The Galena Police Department will use a $5,000 grant from Wal-Mart to purchase four laptop computers. Galena police officers will use the laptops to record their daily reports. The ones in use now are 6 to 7 years old and are beginning to break down, said Galena Police Chief Jerry Westemeier. He said the department got the computers they're using now through a government grant.
