| Docksiders' Gromen wins in Rhode Island |
|
Docksiders Level 9 and 10s traveled to Lincoln, R.I. for the 2013 Ocean State Classic. The Level 9 team placed second in the team competition and Level 9 gymnast Devin Gromen won her first All-Around title with a 36.625 in the 14 year old age group. Gromen, a freshman at Arundel High School, put it all together, taking first place on vault with a high score of 9.65, which tied the Docksiders vault record, and placing first on uneven bars with a 9.35.Also at Level 9, Ronni Binstock placed third all-around in the 9-13 age group. She placed first on uneven bars with a 9.50. In the same age group, Camryn Rosen placed third on balance beam.In the 14-year-old age group, Courtney Haynie placed third on vault and third on uneven bars. Contributing to the Level 9 team's second-place finish were Courtney Boyle, Hannah Laper, Maria Ramsey and Alex Swann-White.At Level 10, Alex Zois placed first on balance beam with a 9.375 and Miranda Telmanik placed third in the all-around.
