Success continues for Docksiders

Docksiders' Level 9 and 10s traveled to Exton, Pa., to compete at the Pancott's Invitational with Alex Zois winning the Level 10 all-around with a 36.975.

It marked the second win in a row for the high school junior who recently committed to George Washington University on a full athletic scholarship. Zois won three out of the four individual events; uneven bars with a 9.175, balance beam with a 9.425, and floor exercise with a 9.35. She placed third on vault.

The Level 9 team placed third in the team competition and several of the girls placed in the individual events.

Also at Level 10, Miranda Telmanik placed second on balance beam and third on floor exercise.

At Level 9, Ronni Binstock had the top performance, placing third all-around in the Junior A age group. She placed first on both uneven bars with a 9.40 and balance beam with a 9.125. Binstock placed third on vault.

In the same age group, Maria Ramsey placed second on balance beam. In the Junior B age group, Devin Gromen won vault with a 9.40, and teammate Courtney Haynie placed second on vault.

In the Senior A age group, Courtney Boyle placed third on vault and third on uneven bars.

Contributing to the team's third-place finish were Hannah Laper, Camryn Rosen and Alex Swann-White.

Docksiders' Levels 4 through 8 all competed at the East Coast Classic at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex in Landover and emerged with three all-around titles.

At Level 8, Karsyn Modeski won her first all-around crown with a total of 36.45 in the Senior age group. She placed first on both vault with a 9.40 and uneven bars with a 9.10. She earned second place on balance beam and third place on floor exercise.

At Level 5, Susan Maranto won the all-around for the third time this season, scoring 36.575. She won uneven bars with a 9.55 and floor exercise with a 9.20. Maranto placed second on vault.

Also at Level 5 but in the youngest age group, Holly Snyder snagged her first all-around victory, scoring 34.875 in the 7-year-old age group. She placed second on vault, uneven bars and on floor exercise.

At Level 4, the top performer was Rebecca Widmer, who placed second in the all-around. She also won uneven bars with the high score of 9.625, placed second on floor exercise and placed third on both vault and balance beam.

In the same age group, Aidyn Kenealy placed third on floor exercise.

In the 7-year-old age group, Laney Potter placed third overall. She placed second on uneven bars and third on balance beam.

Also in the 7-year-old age group, Grace Pimpo won floor exercise with a 9.35 and Carly Johnson placed second on balance beam.

At Level 5, Abigail Pimpo had a standout performance to earn second all-around in the 11-year-old age group. She placed first on uneven bars with a 9.575, third on balance beam and second on floor exercise.

In the 9-year-old age group, Hannah Schouviller placed second on both balance beam and floor exercise.

In the 7-year-old age group, Bella Stagi placed second on balance beam. At Level 6, Sophie Tyler placed third on uneven bars.

At Level 7, Tristan Bullock placed at the top for Docksiders. She took third in the all-around in the 9-year-old age group. She also took third on uneven bars.

In the 10-year-old age group, Breanna Tichener placed third on uneven bars. Makiera Anderson placed third on floor exercise in the 12-year-old age group.

The Level 7 team placed third in the team competition with the help of Jacqueline Beall, Layne Bullock, Juliet Luers, Makenna Palmer, Kendall Peret, Christine Potter, Alyssa Tompkins and Sarah Zois.

At Level 8, Alexandra Sirasky won vault with a 9.25 and placed third on floor exercise in the 13-year-old age group.

In the 12 year old age group, Rebekah Jenkins placed second on floor exercise. In the 11 year old age group, Docksiders earned top honors in two events. Sydney Gillman placed first on vault with a 9.30 and Sophie Hofmann placed first on balance beam with a score of 9.50.
