Six Mission Viejo gymnasts from OlympicaGymnastics in Laguna Hills turned in top performances last month at the South State Sectionals Gymnastics Championships at Elite Gymnastics Academy of San Diego in El Cajon.

Leading the way was 9-year-old Kara Lussier, who placed second on the vault (9.075), on the uneven bars (9.0) and on the floor exercise (9.275) to finish in a first-place tie in the Level 6 all-around competition (36.125) for her age division.

Other top performances included Keri Lindstrom winning in the balance beam (9.45) in Level 6 competition.

In Level 5, Chloe Hinzman placed first in the balance beam (9.6.25); Deanna Pagaduan won on the uneven bars (9.3); and teammates Danika Pagaduan (9.075) and Chase Farris (9.2) both took first place on the vault in their respective age divisions.

All six gymnasts will compete in November at the Southern California State Championships in San Diego.
