| Local gymnasts win medals |

Six gymnasts from OlympicaGymnastics in Laguna Hills won 13 medals Sept. 27 at the State's 2nd Preliminary Competition in Temecula earlier this year. In level 6, Kara Lussier, 9, took second on the uneven bars (8.95), tied for second on the vault (8.95), and finished third in the all-around. Also in level 6, Keri Lindstrom, 9, placed second on the floor exercise (9.325) and third on Balance Beam (9.3). Level 5 gymnast, Chloe Hinzman, 10, won three medals. She took second on uneven bars (8.75), and third in both the balance beam (9.275) and all-around. Danika Pagaduan, 8, brought home a second-place medal on the vault (8.8) and two third-place awards on the uneven bars (8.75) and floor exercise (9.2) for Level 5. Deanna Pagaduan, a 10-year-old Level 5 gymnast, brought home a second-place medal on the uneven bars (8.95). Level 4 gymnast Kayli Tran took second on the vault (9.3) and the floor exercise (9.275). All six gymnasts have qualified for State Sectionals, scheduled for this month.
